Today’s Text: Ephesians 3:14–19
Key Verse: Ephesians 3:17–18 (ESV) — “…that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth.”

Beloved, grace and love be poured out upon you in Jesus’ name. As we continue this journey, Heaven’s focus today is clear: if we are going deeper in Christ, we must go deeper in love. Love is not a side subject; it is the very atmosphere of the Kingdom. The deeper you go in God, the more your life becomes saturated and governed by His love.
Paul does not just ask that believers know about God’s love; he prays that they be *rooted and grounded* in it. Roots nourish, foundations stabilize. When you are rooted in love, your identity no longer swings with people’s opinions; it rests in God’s affirmation. When you are grounded in love, your joy is not easily shaken by circumstances; it stands on the unchanging character of Christ.
Deeper love begins with receiving, not performing. You cannot pour what you have not first received. As you meditate on Christ’s love displayed at the cross and experienced by the Spirit, your heart begins to heal from rejection, insecurity, and fear. Love then moves you from self-protection to self-giving, from offense to forgiveness, from competition to celebration of others.
This love is not weak; it is powerful. It confronts sin but embraces the sinner. It tells the truth but refuses hatred. It stretches you beyond your comfort, teaching you to love the unlovable, to intercede for the difficult, and to serve without seeking applause. When Christ’s love rules your heart, you become a safe place for others and a clear reflection of Him.
Child of God, deeper living this month means asking God to expand your capacity to love—at home, in church, at work, and even towards yourself. The more you grasp His love for you, the easier it becomes to extend that love to others. A heart full of love is a heart fit for God’s use.
Action Steps: Set aside a few quiet moments today to slowly pray through Ephesians 3:14–19, inserting your own name into the text. Write down one relationship where love has grown cold, and ask the Lord for one specific step of love you can take this week. Also, speak aloud this confession: “I am loved by God, rooted in Christ, and empowered to love others.”
Quote for the Day: “The measure of your depth in Christ is the measure of your love. When love becomes your root and foundation, Christ becomes clearly seen in you.” — (Simon Olatunji #quotablequote)
Let Us Pray: Loving Father, thank You for loving me with an everlasting love. Heal every wounded place in my heart and uproot every lie that I am unloved or unwanted. Root me and ground me in the love of Christ until it overflows to everyone around me. Teach me to love like Jesus—sincerely, sacrificially, and steadfastly. In His precious name I pray. Amen.
