Fear God and Give Him Glory

Today’s Scripture Threshing for Friday, May 31, 2019

Today’s Text: Revelation 14:6-13

Key Verse: Revelation 14:7 (ESV): “And he said with a loud voice, “Fear God and give him glory, because the hour of his judgment has come, and worship him who made heaven and earth, the sea and the springs of water.”

God, who made heaven and earth, has sent not just an angel, these last days, but countless of them, to declare the gospel to all the inhabitants of earth—every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people." He has blessed us with a good earth and given us all things pertaining to life. But we chose our own ways against His, and have refused to fear Him and give Him the glory he is due. And that’s why He is coming to bring our deeds into judgment.

Today’s meditation is for all of us to wake up to this timely reminder to "fear God, and give him glory." Angels are crying this so loud daily on our pulpits, on the radios, TV, social media and everywhere but we’re so distracted from this one great priority of life? What a glorious privilege to hear and heed this cry, today.
