Daily Scripture Threshing for Tuesday, March 31, 2020
Today’s Text: Jeremiah 18:1-10
Key Verse: Jeremiah 18:2 (ESV): ”Arise, and go down to the potter’s house, and there I will let you hear my words”
God is a strategist. His revelations are often given in carefully chosen places and circumstances. There’s no doubt that our world’s present moment symbolizes some clear divine motifs and mysteries. In His wisdom, God confounds profoundest things with the simplest; and is calling us to Himself.
If we all can open our mind and tune our spirit, we shall see what God is using our current global ordeal to achieve. He seems to be sending us back to the place where He makes His men. But unless we go down—unless we lower our shoulders and give up our pride, we cannot hear Him. This text of Jeremiah is full of divine imageries for us. Let us arise and go down.
Quote for the Day: "Humanity always seeks divine intervention, whereas divine interposition has made it clear enough that what man thwarts by free-will, he may only take back by free-will.” (Simon Olatunji)
Prayer: Lord, turn us back to you and help us to submit our will at your wheel, in Jesus Christ name. Amen.
With all my love and prayer,
Rev Simon Wale Olatunji, PhD
