Efficacious Blood

Daily Scripture Threshing for Saturday, April 16, y2022

Today Text: Hebrews 10:19-23

Key Verse: Hebrews 10:19 (ESV): “Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the holy places by the blood of Jesus.”

Blood of Jesus Christ in Christian teachings refers to the actual blood shed by Him (Jesus) on the Cross to atone for the sins of the world and procure salvation of souls. The blood has become God’s only way by which humanity may find peace with Him (God). There is power in the blood of Jesus. It is because of the shed blood of Christ that we have fellowship with God and have all received eternal benefits from God.

Under the Old tabernacle, a chosen mediator, in the person of an high priest was required to offer blood first for his own sins, and then for the sins of the people; but Christ Jesus, became our true Mediator because He first was sinless, needing no sacrifice for His sins. Then what He offered was not the blood of animals; but He shed His own blood for the remission of our sin. The blood of Jesus is sufficient for whosoever comes to Him. It cleanses, saves, heals, restores, and delivers.

It is by this blood (of Jesus) that the whole world now have access to the presence of God. Christ sacrifice on the cross is limitless: all the world may come with confidence and avail themselves of this access. Nobody is too sinful that this blood cannot suffice for, and no sin is too great that has been not been already atoned for by the same blood. Friends, it is by that blood that Jesus paved a new and living way of salvation for us. Have you been to Jesus for the sin’s cleansing efficacious power through His blood? Do not let this season of Easter pass you by.
