Today’s Text: Philippians 3:12-16
Key Verses: Philippians 3:16 (KJV) — “Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing.”

Having presented various admonitions and exhortations to the first generation believers of Philipi, a major Greek city northwest of Tarsus; it was time for the apostle to draw a conclusion so that all God's people, who have been made saints, and made perfect by Christ’s finished work, would live by the same principles. God wants us to realize who we are in Him, and live up to that standard. Like the Phillipians, we are no more babes in Christ. The Apostle himself was young and behaved as such; but when he attained maturity in Christ, he gave up childish things. We, according to the admonition of Paul, must put away childish things.
As Christ's followers, we must stand strong and remain consistent in all moral and spiritual dignity. We must strive to be like the apostle in forgetting the past. We must be like him in pressing forward to the mark for the heavenly prize. Anyone who will be thus minded need to be of one mind and goal. Every distraction must be eschewed. Worldly mindedness is death and spiritual mindedness is life in Christ Jesus. We do not have to be of the same denomination; but we are not allowed to be otherwise minded. The standards and foundation of God is ever true. As we take time to reflect the blessing if this season, it is therefore our most glorious opportunity to be more rooted in the faith of Christ.
Quote for the Day: ”It is not enough to know the Lord, and work His business, we must seek Him enough to learn, know and mind His truth.” (Simon Olatunji)
Prayer: Dear Lord, help me to grow into all that You have designed me to be, in Jesus name. Amen.
With all my love and prayers, I wish you a very Merry Christ and a Happy New Year in advance,
