A person’s inner thoughts preconditions his attitude and output. Whatever you believe or are made to believe has an unbelievable effect on your physical, emotional and spiritual strength. British psychiatrist, John Hadfield, illustrates this in his The Psychology of Power, explaining how 3 people were subjected to a test which measures how mental suggestions impact strength. They were made to grip a dynamometer with all their strength under three different sets of conditions. First, when nothing was said to them, each person had an average grip was 49kg or 101lbs. Under a negative hypnosis in which they were told they were very weak, their average grip was only 10kg or 29lbs. But under a positive hypnosis in which they were made to believe they very strong, their average grip jumped to 71kg or 142lbs. Whatever you believe controls your result. God's word teaches us to guard our hearts carefully because whatever we let it nurture will filter through our entire being. Allow the Holy Spirit to control your thoughts. Believe what God says about you, and walk daily in the victory wherein Christ has made you free. Apostle Paul says: “Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think.” (Romans 12:2a, NLT) Quote for the Day: “When the devil makes you believe that you are weak, he is targeting your attitude and output.” (Simon Olatunji) Prayer: Lord Jesus, I know that my thoughts influence my life.
