Today’s Text: Ephesians 6:10-18
Key Verse: Ephesians 6:13 (ESV): “Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.”

We live in an age when it is increasingly difficult to stand on one's feet. Indeed, it is almost impossible to stand firm, especially when you try to do so by human strength. We have got so many forces to contend with, which seek to sweep us off our feet, and get us backside down. As we mediate on the hidden treasures of Ephesians 6, the Lord is inviting us on a spiritual journey to help us see how we may maintain a sure footing despite all the forces against us — economic, spiritual, political, psychological and marital. The emphasis on having done all to stand is spiritually encouragement offering us soul-deep hope that standing is still possible despite all. It assures us that we can keep our feet strong through Jesus Christ. We can stand strong and firm.
Therefore, I welcome you to join me, through the rest of this week as we meditate on how being more attune to the reality of the spiritual conflict surrounding us can strengthen our stand against satanic attempts to sweep us. Each believer in Christ must grow wise in their understanding of scriptures, and their daily walk with God. That is our surest arsenal against Satan’s schemes. Today, be resolved to arm yourself with balanced needed spiritual armory that comes from understanding and appropriating the word of God. We must understand that except the word of God conquers us, it cannot conquer our enemies. When God’s word fails to armor our souls from dishonoring God, then our clamor for victory may not be disarming to the enemies.

Quote for the Day: “The days are evil, and we walk daily through the valley of shadows of death, and through hours and powers of darkness; but herein is our confidence: we can stand through Christ.” (Simon Olatunji)
Prayer: Dear Lord, we do not walk in fear because we belong to Christ, and in Him, the enemy never has the final say. We are secure in God's hands and by His grace we can stand firm — in Jesus’ name. Amen.
