Today's Text: Titus 2:11-14; Ephesians 2:1-10
Key Verse: Ephesians 2:8 (NLT): "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God."

The phrase "grace of God that brings salvation" refers to the undeserved love, favor, and mercy that God offers to humanity as a free gift, which is the basis for salvation in Christ. This concept is most clearly articulated in all four gospels, Acts of the Apostles and epistles, especially in the Book of Titus, in which the apostle states that God's grace has appeared through Jesus Christ, offering salvation to all people by redeeming us from sin and enabling us to live godly lives. Just as a gift is freely given without expectation of payment, God's grace is a freely offered gift of salvation.
A most key aspects of our meditation this morning is that none of us deserve the favor we have received through Jesus Christ. The grace He gives is not something earned or deserved through human effort or good works. No. Not through offerings, charity, good will, moral living or any sacrifices. Instead, it's a benevolent act of God's love given to us, undeserving men. This is the very fundamental principle of the Christian faith: no man, by himself, except through the finished work of Christ on the cross, can earn his way to God.
God's grace was made visible and tangible through the incarnation, life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. He is the ultimate expression of God's grace, bridging the gap between holy divinity and sinful humanity, imputing salvation upon us as a free gift. This grace revealed and given through Christ is the means by which salvation is provided, offering forgiveness of sins and reconciliation with God. It is never a prize for good behavior; no, rather, it is a free gift received through faith in Christ alone.
No one receives such grace and remains the same. The power of that undeserved love goes beyond salvation. It also teaches believers to renounce worldly passions and live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives. It's a transformative power that changes us from the inside out. It empowers us to live a life that honors God. It trains us to renounce impiety and worldly passions. It helps us, in the present age, to live lives that are self-controlled, upright and godly, while we wait for the blessed hope and the manifestation of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Action Steps: Take time to meditate and reflect on how God's grace has transformed your life. Acknowledge that salvation is not earned by your works, but given freely through faith. Express gratitude for the gift of salvation, love and mercy, despite your unworthiness. Reflect on areas of your life where worldly desires or behaviors may be pulling you away from such undeserved love. Commit to living in a way that honors God.
Quote for the Day: "Grace is the free and unmerited favor of God, given to us not because we deserve it, but because He designed it by Christ loving sacrifice on the cross." (Simon Olatunji #quotablequote)
Let Us Pray: Dear Heavenly Father, I'm indeed overwhelmed with gratitude for the gift of Your grace. It's a love that's impossible to fully comprehend, yet undeniably evident. It gives hope in my darkest moments, reminding us that we're not defined by our past, but by Your unwavering love. Please help me, Lord, to fully grasp the depth of Your undeserved love. May my life be a testament to the transformative power of Your grace, as I strive to live a life that honors You, in Jesus's most glorious name. Amen.
