Today’s Text: Jeremiah 29:1-14
Key Verse: Jeremiah 29:11 (ESV): “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

None of us is a product of accident. Whatever happens to us in life is either a result of God’s permission or a part of His plan to bring us to a happy ending. I know that sometimes our situations make it difficult to find an easy explanation for where we came from, how or why we’re here, and where we’re heading. Many today, appear so forlorn as one year ends and another dawns upon us. People who observe the season rather than the purpose of God through all these things will be downcast and forlorn. That is what the devil wants to see happen to us. He (Satan) wants us to get so in-over-our-heads so much that we forget the meaning and purpose of life and God’s plan for us. But those who look up to God understand that, in His infinite intelligence, God has us in His safe thoughts and hands.
No matter how fantastic our thoughts are of/for ourselves, God’s thoughts are infinitely, unthinkably, and immeasurably higher than ours. Isaiah bears witness to this oracle of Jeremiah when he said in the ninth verse of his 55th chapter that God’s thought is higher than ours as the heavens are higher than the earth. If human mental processes and thoughts have imagined great thoughts and achieved great successes thereby, we are rest assured that, though we do not know or comprehend God’s thoughts for us, we can be confident of its superlative range, prospect, and the realm of the infinite and eternal thought of God. We can face the coming year with faith. We can put our hands in the hand of God and walk every pathway. Yes, because we serve the God who assured us a purposeful future, and hope—not just in this world, but also in His glorious happens after we eternity.
Quote for the Day: “Jesus Christ is the key to unlocking and receiving God’s glorious purpose and eternal plan for all humanity and ages.” (Simon Olatunji)
Prayer: Dear Lord, please give me a fresh vision for Your purpose for my life. Open my eyes, ears, hearts, and minds to Your vision so that I can live out my purpose and to Your un-hinderable divine plan— in Jesus’ name. Amen.
