Are You a Living Witness?

Daily Scripture Threshing for Saturday, April 2, 2022

Today’s Text: Mark 7:31-37

Key Verse: Mark 7:37 (NKJV): “And they were astonished beyond measure, saying, “He has done all things well. He makes both the deaf to hear and the mute to speak.”

We have an amazing example of Christ’s miraculous deeds here before us today. When Jesus touches a life, it is so that such man may become a living witness to God's saving grace and power. Despite being charged not to announce his cure, never could God’s kindness be hidden. God’s work in our lives are always obvious. It’s like a city set on a hill that cannot be hid. As God’s children, everyone who sees us should see evidence that God is at work in our lives. There is no way a person can be under the influence of divine blessings, power and grace and it will not be evidential. There is no way the world will not be above measure astonished to see how our horrible lives has been touched and turn around for the best.

Therefore, if, indeed, you are the man whom Jesus healed, touched, forgave, delivered, and/or redeemed from that dead and dump spirit, crippling depression, issues of blood, anxiety, aborted destiny, shame and reproach, loneliness, barrenness, repeated academic failure and power of sin, should you not go forth to live for Him? Our testimony and lifestyle should continue to utter the praise of God. We should continue to live as witnesses to Christ’s saving grace on earth so that others may see our good examples and glorify God. It is a new month, and indeed, our new opportunity to be different. So, will your life be a living evidence to the fact that Christ has done all things well in and/or for you? If indeed, all things has be remarkably touched and changed the way you claim, will your life as well testify to the fact, and/or is your mouth witnessing for your Savior? Until your life is a living astonishment that gives evidence to the works of Christ, something still needs a touch.

Quote for the Day: “Jesus Christ cannot be preeminent in a life without being prominent in his mouth.” (Simon Olatunji)

Prayer: Dear Lord, please make me a channel of blessing to the watching world. Let them see my good works and glorify You — in Jesus’ name. Amen.

With all my Love and Prayers,
