Celebrating Jim Caviezel, Hero of The Passion of the Christ

Jim Caviezel’s birthday, 53 officially known as James Patrick Caviezel Jr., was born September 26, 1968. He is an American film and television actor. I am sending this out as my belated birthday shout out to him for his portrayal of the person of Jesus Christ in The Passion of the Christ movie in 2004.

James Patrick Caviezel Jr., you are a Garland gospel proclaimer and an ambassador of Jesus Christ in the Hollywood. We can all be grateful to God for daring to act the part of Jesus in “The Passion of The Christ” even when you were warned and advised not to do so. They said it would ruined your reputation and career; yet you cared less.

You risked your name and your health to act that part so that the world may watch in motion pictures, the reality of Christ’s sacrifice. During the filming of the movie, you were said to have lost 45 pounds. You were reported to have been struck by lightning; accidentally scourged with a whip twice, and sustained a 14-inch scar. Your shoulder dislocated. You suffered pneumonia and hypothermia because you hung mostly naked on a cross for hours in the open field. Your 2 post production open heart surgeries are also further testimony that the crucifixion scene and the pain Christ bore for us was not a joke.

The Passion of the Christ has reached countless of souls around the world because of men like you.

Jesus said: “And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” (Matthew 24:14, ESV) Therefore, He sent them “forth to preach.” (Mark 3:14).
