Today’s Text: 1 Chronicles 4:1-10
Key Verse: 1 Chronicles 4:10 (KJV): “And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.”

It is always man’s privilege to petition God for all of our troubles. This includes not only to see our desires fulfilled, but to avert any contrary system or sentence that imposes negativity and judgment upon us. Imagine that Jabez bore a name and hat is actually a curse: a prophecy that held that he was going to bring or cause pain. That’s his name means. What mother casts such painful shadow on her son because his birth brought pain?!
Unfortunately, the deed is done; and, it’s only left for you, if you are Jabez, or like him, to understand that no force on earth, or medium, or power could ever change that situation but God. Regardless of the source or cause of that pain, you can reorder your life and woes by the authority of God. Prayer is man’s opportunity to reverse any wicked satanic imposition. You can remove any moral or social tag by divine intervention.
To be kept from evil in the mind and prayer of Jabez is the idea of God’s sovereign and delivering power. God has the power to upturn, prevent and remove the curse despite any legal bond. By this, the man who has been labeled to bring nothing but pain was able to undo the curse and achieved a more honorable place among his brethren. If you too can trust God, you can repeal that evil label and rise above them.
Quote for the Day: “No man can dislodge any judicial or legislative sentence of low self-esteem and wrong identity by personal efforts and struggle. No positive confession or thinking can do it. These things happen only by the delivering power of prayer.” (Simon Olatunji)
Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, I stand in the place of prayer, and repeal every prophetic pronouncements working against me, my household and destiny — in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
With all my love and prayers,
