Daily Scripture Threshing for Wednesday, April 29, 2020

Today’s Text: Luke 15:3-7

Key Verse: Luke 15:7 (NLT): "In the same way, there is more joy in heaven over one lost sinner who repents and returns to God than over ninety-nine others who are righteous and haven’t strayed away!”

Shepherds are usually found on hills and in valleys, wearied in the Sun and made blue in the cold to ensure you heir flocks are fed and not lost. And should one per chance go astray, the shepherd make no rest even despite footsore until the lost sheep are brought back to fold.

No better shepherd than Jesus. He came from heaven to earth to seek and to save that which is lost. We found His diary and found why! Whenever He brings back a lost sinner, heavens rejoice! The footsore He bore are not for vain. His journey to the hill of Calvary was not a joke.

Jesus came to seek and save lost sheep; O that lost sheep would seek and embrace Him! His arms are always stretched out to lift them up tenderly, to lay them on His shoulder, and to lead their steps back with heavenly joy to eternal life. Do you feel lost, cold, and weary of soul thirst and wandering? Come to Jesus today — NOW!
