Today’s Text: Jeremiah 18:1-10
Key Verse: Jeremiah 18:2 (ESV): “Arise, and go down to the potter’s house, and there I will let you hear my words.”

God created humans and established nations by His power and for His glory. He holds individual man’s salvation, help, blessings and eternal destiny of souls in His sovereign hands: including nations, empires, kingdoms, realms and dominions. All powers are in His hands and we have the uncommon privilege run to Him, and take cover. Indeed, we can run to Him and find solace. In this oracle by Prophet Jeremiah, the potter’s house is a parable to let us know that the One who made us, the sheep of whose pasture we are, is willing to help fallen humanity and nations that run to Him. There is no lost original creative glory, which may not be regained. Yes, there can be nothing in our lives which is beyond the control, correction and creative or recreative power of the Lord.
No matter how marred you feel your pot-shed is, just take it back to the potter’s house. There is a sure promise from the divine Potter, that: if you will “Arise, and go down to the potter’s house, and [you can never be disappointed or stranded. For] there I will let you hear my words.” The allegory of Potter-Clay relationship depicts the powerlessness of man and the sovereignty of God. While we are weak, clueless and marred; we are brought to an acknowledgement of God’s strength, wisdom and might. So, do you ever feel crushed to the ground and marred? Do you feel a sense of weaknesses and/or impotence? Go to the divine potter: not only shall he give you His word, but He shall also remold you anew.
Quote for the Day: “The world is like clay-field of broken pot-sheds. But the divine potter is always in the business of crafting all shattered destinies.” (Simon Olatunji)
Prayer: Dear Lord, You formed me from clay and breathed the breath of life into my nostrils and I became a living soul; please reformed me in my inward parts and reknit me anew again — in Jesus’ name. Amen.
With all my Love and Prayers,
