Daily Scripture Threshing for Today — Thursday, February 26, 2026
Today’s Text: Psalm 90:9–12
Key Verse: “So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.” — Psalm 90:12 (KJV)

As I give thanks to the Lord, the creator, giver of life, helper, sustainer and savior, for another year I am given in the land of the living, today, I am moved to reflect that every new year, every birthday, and every passing sunrise is a nudge from eternity whispering—life is sacred, fleeting, and meant to be stewarded. Time is one of the greatest gifts God has entrusted to us, yet it is also one of the most easily wasted. Growing older is inevitable; growing wiser is intentional.
Life is not measured by how long we live, but by how well we live. God calls us not to count our years but to make our years count. Every season of life carries a purpose—childhood for learning, adulthood for labor, and old age for legacy. To number our days means to live with divine awareness, to steward each moment as though it were our last, and to invest our time in what carries eternal weight.
Spiritual maturity is not about age but about alignment. Growth is not proven by motion, but by transformation—by becoming more like Christ as the years unfold. Time without purpose leads to regret; but time invested in obedience, service, and love leaves a rich inheritance. The greatest stewardship of life is to live it fully for God’s glory.
Action Step: Pause today to reflect: How am I stewarding the time, talents, and treasures God has given me? Write one specific way you will grow in purpose this week and act on it.
Quote for the Day: “Aging is God’s reminder that time is short, but destiny is eternal.” — (Simon Olatunji #quotablequote)
Let Us Pray: Eternal Father, I thank You for the gift of life and the grace to grow. Teach me to number my days with wisdom and walk in purpose each moment. Help me to use every breath, season, and opportunity for Your glory. Let my growth bring impact and my life reflect Your light—in Jesus’s name, Amen.
