Today’s Text: John 11:41-44
Key Verses: John 11:44 (KJV) — “And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go.”

There are so many lessons that the death of Lazarus bring to us. We can only wonder if it was allowed, the first place, for the sake of heaven’s merit on earth. Of course earth’s losses are always heaven’s gain; but Lazarus occurrence reveals that, often, God allows us to go through stuffs in our lives to reveal His involvement and belonging with us in our difficult moments. Jesus demonstrates His truly human nature at Lazarus’ death because He wants to show us how He is always an unseen partaker with us in our pains. “For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.” (Hebrews 4:15) Lazarus’ death brings us to realization that there is no detail or extent of our lives that Jesus does not traverse with us.
He walked with the suffering sisters to the sight of their brother’s tomb. His demonstrated grief is a sympathetic and empathetic outburst for both their sufferings and their unbelief. O how whatever touches us touches Him. But there is more to learn. When Christ stands, with us, any situation can be reversed. Or, no situation is bad enough that He cannot reverse it. He sanctions an end to sorrow. I releases the virtue that heals any issues of blood. He can bring any dead back to life even though the body was decomposing. “Loose him, and let him go” is the command to physically remove the funeral shrouds that bound Lazarus all over; but it was also a call of faith to us. In our mind, we grow so much doubt already because of the extent of our situation’s seeming hopelessness. And the more doubts grow in us, the stronger the cords shroud our miracle. And except we loosen the faithless cord, our already performed miracle may not be perfected.
Quote for the Day: "Your delayed blessing or miracle does not mean denial. But if the Lord occasions the delay, He must want your miracle to be greater because the means for it already is apparently slimmer.” (Simon Olatunji)
Prayer: Lord, You know how I, at times, waiver in my faith like Mary and Martha, I sometimes wonder if you will answer me. I ask that You strengthen my belief in You that I may walk in my blessings, in Jesus name. Amen
With all my love and prayers,
