Today’s Text: Galatians 1:6-10
Key Verses: Galatians 1:8 (KJV) — “But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.”

We are in an age of plurality, secularity, relativity and rationality. The sense of absolute is almost totally unacceptable. It almost no longer matter what you believe or do as long as you really believe in it. But how does this affect the gospel and our declaration of scriptural truth? What is the position of the word of God amid this permissive chaos? In this text, Paul the Apostle has a dire obligation to restrain Galatian Christians from being swallowed by the messy proliferation and adulteration of their day. However, the apostle has a divine mandate to caution the body of Christ to beware of adulteration and digression. Like it happened in Galatia, everywhere a protagonist message is taught, there is also an antagonist lurking to disrupt full acceptance; or derail those who accept into disbelief.
However, this scripture points us to the fact that there is but one gospel; and no rival or counterfeit is ever permitted. There is room for but one; and no usurper should ever be tolerated. Whereas Jesus did not raise foolish children, Paul was moved to ask those Galatians who gave heed to the bewitchment of imposters and adulterators why they were so foolish enough to follow erring spirit. Today, among the greatest struggles of the Church (and of a believer) is the contention against the chameleon species and spirits of truth that change colors with time, trend and trials. Of course, there can be diverse modifications and improvements in the communication of the message; but our truth must be the same. For truth that acclimatizes with conditions and situation is nothing but falsehood. Therefore, without prejudice to personally and hierarchy — be it any of us, the apostle said, or even an angel from heaven — even if it is a pope: anyone who preaches a gospel contrary to the one that has been preached should be treated as being under a divine curse.
Quote for the Day: “The gospel of Christ is a declaration of truth, and not a contention with facts. In its very nature, truth is wholistic and indivisibly intolerant of error.” (Simon Olatunji)
Prayer: Dear Lord, please help me day by day to abide in Your truth and to be fruitful in bringing forth the message of your Kingdom not as a man-pleaser; but in keeping with the integrity of your truth, in Jesus name. Amen.
As you worship today, I wish you God’s rich blessings with all my love and prayers,
