God’s “Let” Diary (Part 173) — Let Your Moderation Be Known Unto All

Daily Scripture Threshing for Saturday, December 26, 2020

Today’s Text: Philippians 4:1-8

Key Verses: Philippians 4:5 (KJV) — “Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.

The epistle of Apostle Paul to the Philippians has been known to be Christians’ most practical guideline to Christian living ever written by him. It offers wisdom for daily living, humility, strength, and open mindedness. In today's text, a crucial way of testing a believer’s lifestyle is placed before us. Whereas, hide and seek Christianity, hypocrisy and all manners of pretence has become the order of modern-day Christianity; this epistle insists that God cares about openheartedness and transparency among us. Hideous attitudes are detrimental to any good virtues, fruits of the spirit and all great gifts and godly seeds imputed upon us, and expected for us.

Christians must not just be willing and ready to surrender the old ways of life or any other heneous ways of the past; but they must necessarily and essentially surrender and give up those things that seems rights in their lives which are not consistent to the will of God. Any soul that God truly subdues yields himself to the life of the spirit. Energy, passion, activity and charismatism cannot be mistaken for spirituality and passion; the life of one expecting the coming of the Lord and living for Him calls for openness before the Lord and all. God does not depend on wayward weapons. Otherwise, people shall find out and the name of the Lord shall be reproached. Our lifestyle must be devoid of darkness. We must give up self-will. To.mark our testimony that we belong to Christ and believe in the face that His return is imminent, we must be broken in and out, maintain openness in and out, and remain holy unto the Lord.

Quote for the Day: ”So far as there is no shadow of turning with God, openness is the only logical relative of godliness.” (Simon Olatunji)

Prayer: Dear Lord, fill my heart with your light, and kindle in me the fire of true and genuine love, in Jesus name. Amen.

With all my love and prayers, I wish you happy boxing, day and a Happy New Year in advance,
