God’s “Let” Diary (Part 195) — Let Him Ask of God

Daily Scripture Threshing for Tuesday, January 26, 2021

Today’s Text: James 1:5-8

Key Verses: James 1:5 (KJV) — “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.”

Our God is the source and fountain of wisdom. He imparts it to all who ask Him. The wisdom we need during all the trials and afflictions of life are made available through the Holy Spirit. Those who belong to God are blessed with incredible infinite resources and gifts. We have access to an unceasing providence if we ask God. That is why the apostle James, the brother of our Lord admonished us to take advantage of the blessings by asking.

The God we serve is "the loving God.” He loves the world so much. He is “the giving God." He gave His only begotten son. “If He did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall he not also with him freely give us all things?" O what a great news that the God we serve is ever ready to bestow His wisdom at all times, and especially in our days of trial. When we are at a loss as to what to do during our difficult moments; He always waits for us to do just one thing: ask! When we ask Him, He gives us His wisdom so lavishly, liberally and unreproachingly. Don’t suffer alone. Don’t try using your worldly insights. Ask God for wisdom through the difficult moments. He shall give you generously.

Prayer: Lord, grant me the wisdom to understand the difficulties along my path and allow me to feel and see Your comforting hand in the midst of these troubles, in Jesus name. Amen.
