I See Also the Lord

Daily Scripture Threshing for Today, Friday, July 31, 2026

Today’s Text: Isaiah 6:1–8

Key Verse: Isaiah 6:1 (KJV) — “In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.”

Life’s journey is filled with moments when familiar supports fall away and nothing makes sense. Times when everything you see runs counter to purpose, and only God remains. In such seasons, you need a sight deeper than circumstances; an eyes that beholds the Lord above all others. This was true for Isaiah: he saw the Lord when earthly certainty had shifted, and that holy vision changed everything. True clarity begins when the soul looks beyond loss and beholds the throne.

When human sight is baptized to see the Lord in the midst of chaos and battles, we get closer than noticing His presence in passing; but we recognize His supremacy. At such moments, other voices grow quiet, and every terrifying sight dim. That's what the prophet first see before his calling, his cleansing, or his commission came clear—we too must first see the Lord. When God is seen rightly, self is seen truthfully. Pride bows, fear loosens its grip, and worship rises above worries.

Every genuine encounter with the Lord exposes our need and awakens our reverence. Isaiah’s cry, “Woe is me!” was not despair without hope; it was repentance in the light of holiness. The vision of God never flatters our sin; no, it brings us face to face with the mercy that purges our limitations. It brings us to the coal from the altar. Show me a man who sees the Lord, and you've seen the man to whom God is not only revealed, but one whom He also redeemed.

Beloved, this is a weekend of spectacular visitation and revelation. Your eyes have seen so much than you desired; but this day, you will see also the Lord, you will not remain the same. The vision of His glory turn you from a spectator into servants and from a listener into messenger. By what God will do this weekend, your hearts will be renewed by His presence and cleansed by His grace. So much that you can say, “Here am I; send me.”

Action Step: From today, and beyond this weekend's prayer conference, set aside a quiet moment to worship before you work. Pray, “Lord, let me see You above every fear, every delay, and every distraction. Purify my heart, and make me ready for Your call.” See the Lord first, and let everything else take its place.

Let us Pray: Dear Heavenly Father, my King and my Holy One, open the eyes of my heart to see You above every earthly thing. In the hour of uncertainty, let me behold Your throne; in the hour of conviction, let me receive Your cleansing; in the hour of calling, let me answer with willingness. Purge me, prepare me, and position me for Your purpose today—in Jesus’s most glorious name, Amen.
