Daily Scripture Threshing for Tuesday, March 10 2020
Today’s Text: Mark 1::1-8
Key Verse: Mark 1:3 (NIV): ”A voice of one calling in the wilderness, ’Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for him.’”
Prophets of old tapped into deep spiritual cores to see great and veritable things of the Lord The Messiah is coming among men, who brings with him treasures of grace, and the sceptre of power. He brings salvation for all men—a way of escape from the wrath to come; but His path has already been laiden by men’s corruption so much that He has so great an opposition and rejection to face.
However, anyone who receives Him has eternal life and the power and right of sonship. It is therefore such a blessing to employed by God as voice for the Lord in a crocked age. Each day, each encounter, each conversation and every occasion is our opportunity to make a path for people to meet such great Savior we have found. We are nothing but a voice, which should never be silent — for it has pleased God to use us this way in bringing many sons to glory. Whenever we lend our voice someone’ crooked pathway to the savior is straightened.
Quote for the Day: "When God makes a man his voice or gives him a voice and he fails to speak; He raises up stones.” (Simon Olatunji)
Prayer: DearLord, I do not ask only to have a voice; but to be made a voice—your voice regardless of the wilderness, in Jesus Christ name. Amen.
With all my love and prayer,
