My Grace is Sufficient

Daily Scripture Threshing for Today, Monday, June 15, 2026

Today’s Text: 2 Corinthians 12:7–10

Key Verse: 2 Corinthians 12:9 (ESV) — “But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’”

Our text today stems from Paul defense of his apostleship against some in Corinth who were questioning his authority. He described being caught up to the “third heaven” and hearing things he wasn’t allowed to repeat. And, how, to keep him from becoming conceited over those revelations, God allowed a “thorn in the flesh” — likely a chronic illness, persecution, or some personal hardship — to keep Paul dependent on Him. But the Lord did not shame Paul for his weakness; instead, He transformed it into a platform for His power. This is the mystery of grace: it does not always remove the pressure, but it always supplies presence, sustenance, and strength within the pressure. What looks like a limitation may become the very place where God’s power is most clearly displayed.

God’s grace is not a small support for difficult moments; it is His very enoughness in every season of insufficiency. In today’s text, Paul tells us that he pleaded with the Lord three times for the removal of his thorn, yet the answer he received was not the removal he desired, but the revelation he needed. Grace here is not merely pardon for sin, but divine enablement for endurance, strength, humility, and victorious living. When God says, “My grace is sufficient,” He is declaring that His supply will meet every demand your weakness can place on it.

Today’s threshing reminds us that spiritual maturity is not measured by the absence of struggle, but by the presence of grace in the struggle. Many people think strength means never needing help, but Paul’s testimony teaches us that weakness can become holy ground when surrendered to God. The grace of Christ renews the weary, steadies the unstable, and keeps the believer from collapsing under burdens that would otherwise be unbearable. When human strength ends, divine sufficiency begins to shine.

Child of God, this is your season to rest in what God has already promised: His grace is enough for your pressure, your calling, your healing journey, your waiting season, and your daily obedience. You do not have to be flawless to be fruitful, and you do not have to be self-sufficient to be secure. The Lord’s power is made perfect in weakness, so your limitations are not disqualifications; they are invitations to deeper dependence and greater manifestation.

Action Steps: Ask the Lord to show you where you have been striving in your own strength instead of resting in His grace. Identify one burden you need to hand back to Him today in prayer and relax. Practice thanksgiving in the very area where you feel weakest, trusting that grace is already at work. Walk through this day, and each day, not pretending to be strong, but depending on the God whose strength meets you in weakness.

Quote for the Day: “Grace is God’s promise that your weakness will never be compared to, equal to, or greater than His power.”— (Simon Olatunji #quotablequote)

Let Us Pray: Lord, thank You that Your grace is sufficient for me. In my weakness, reveal Your strength; in my pain, reveal Your presence; in my insufficiency, reveal Your power. Teach me to trust You when I cannot fix, change, or carry everything by myself. Let Your grace sustain me, humble me, and strengthen me for every assignment You have given me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
