Perfect Peace for those who Trust Him

Today’s Text: Isaiah 26:3-5

Key Verse: Isaiah 26:3 (NLT): “You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!”

We are n a month in which God promised us perfect health as our heritage; and for those who have lost their health, the healing balm. Several promises have been explored, and we are so convinced of the peace that is ours when we trust God already. Today’s passage, however, presents us with a double parallel with two verses preceding it, which assures us that we can be sure of any needed safety when we dwell in God’s strong city. The spiritual symbolism of this strong city is always consequent upon our trust in God.

There is a sure impenetrable sphere of fortified life when we put our faith in the Lord Jesus, the Rock of Ages. This scripture offers us a triumphant declaration of security and safety that may not be defiled by any power or force. Instead, any force that seeks to defile our safety has already been brought under divine summon to lift their heads and open wide gates of hindrances for an express admittance of our declared peace. Friend, if you trust in the Lord, no evil gate watcher can withstand you from gaining entrance to your place/life of perfect peace. The strong city, where God hides His men is all yours. I do not doubt that you need this peace in your life. Yes! I do not doubt that God is more than able to bleed you with His perfect peace. But do you trust Him?

Prayer: Dear Lord, please grant me peace of mind, and calm my troubled heart—especially when my soul is like a turbulent sea, or I can't seem to find my balance. Give me the strength to stay my mind on You and find Your peace, in Jesus' name. Amen.
