“What do ye imagine against the LORD? he will make an utter end: affliction shall not rise up the second time.” — Nahum 1:9 (KJV)
1. Prayer for Divine Termination of Recurring Affliction
Father, by Your authority in Nahum 1:9, make an utter end to every recurring battle, oppression, and cycle of affliction in my life and family.
- Nahum 1:9 (KJV): “What do ye imagine against the LORD? he will make an utter end: affliction shall not rise up the second time.”
- Isaiah 10:27 (KJV): “And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.”
2. Prayer Against Evil Imaginations and Schemes
Lord, let every imagination, plan, and counsel of the wicked against my life be frustrated and brought to nothing.
- Psalm 33:10 (KJV): “The LORD bringeth the counsel of the heathen to nought: he maketh the devices of the people of none effect.”
- 2 Corinthians 10:5 (KJV): “Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;”
3. Prayer to Close Every Open Door
Holy Spirit, reveal to me the door through which this affliction keeps returning, and give me grace to close it permanently by repentance, truth, and obedience.
- Ephesians 4:27 (KJV): “Neither give place to the devil.”
- Proverbs 4:23 (KJV): “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.”
4. Prayer for Power to Resist Backward Movements
Father, I receive grace not to return to the habit, sin, relationship, and pattern You delivered me from. I will not rebuild what Your grace tore down.
- Galatians 2:18 (KJV): “For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor.”
- 2 Peter 2:22 (KJV): “But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.”
5. Prayer for Preservation of Victory and Joy
Lord, establish Your victory over me and preserve the fruit of my freedom. Let my joy, peace, and testimony not be stolen again.
- John 10:10 (KJV): “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”
- 1 Peter 5:10 (KJV): “But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.”
6. Prayer Against Familiar Spirits and Parental Patterns
Every familiar pattern, generational cycle, old wound, old fear, and lie of the enemy that seeks to recycle itself in my life, be broken now by the blood of Jesus.
- Ezekiel 18:20 (KJV): “The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.”
- 2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV): “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
7. Prayer for Strength to Maintain Godly Boundaries
Father, help me to establish and keep godly boundaries, to watch and pray, and to walk in accountability and forgiveness.
- Matthew 26:41 (KJV): “Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
- James 4:7 (KJV): “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”
PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS - DECLARE "NOT AGAIN"
Speak these aloud with faith:
1. I declare utter end: Every weapon formed against me fails. Affliction shall not rise up the second time in my life, in Jesus' name.
- Isaiah 54:17 (KJV): “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.”
2. I declare closed doors: Every door I once opened to sin, compromise, bitterness, and deception is shut forever by the blood of Jesus. I will not go back.
- Revelation 3:7 (KJV): “These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth;”
3. I declare freedom is final: Whom the Son has set free is free indeed. I refuse to be entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
- John 8:36 (KJV): “If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.”
- Galatians 5:1 (KJV): “Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.”
4. I declare divine vengeance: The Lord is my avenger. The Lord rebukes every oppressor assigned against my destiny.
- Nahum 1:2 (KJV): “God is jealous, and the LORD revengeth; the LORD revengeth, and is furious; the LORD will take vengeance on his adversaries, and he reserveth wrath for his enemies.”
- Romans 8:31 (KJV): “What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?”
5. I declare preservation: The God who ended the attack will preserve my freedom. My mind is guarded, my heart is established, my path is secured.
- Philippians 4:7 (KJV): “And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
- Jude 1:24 (KJV): “Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy.”
