Today’s Text: Ephesians 2: 1-10

Key Verse: Ephesians 2:6 (ESV): “And raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus.”

Nothing is more foundational to the life of a believer in Christ than for him or her to understand his or her position in Jesus Christ their Lord. When it comes to knowing our place, it is understanding our legal stand in/with God. Many of us still walk in the disillusionment of the past. We do not understand the dynamics of our new life in Christ. We don’t know whether we are guilty or not; debtors before God or free from the past. Some of us still approach the throne of grace unsure of our true position in Christ.

But not only can we be sure of our place, we can walk in it. We are no more His enemies or far away. We have been brought near and made His friends through the atonement of Christ. Understanding these things makes a difference in how we live our lives daily. Marred by sin, we are unable to stand before God; but Jesus stepped in and offered Himself as a mediator and inputted upon us a new standing and position before God. So that when we come to Him by faith,  our sins are forgiven and we find new standing with God. Each believer must understand this and take their place daily. Today’s meditation is a reassurance of

the riches of God’s grace in us who are in Christ.

Quote for the Day: “In Christ, all our past is settled, present is perfected and complete, and the future glory is assured as if the past never existed." (Simon Olatunji)

Prayer: Dear Lord, I thank you for the riches of Your incredible grace! I am a product of so much love and mercy; and yet the glory that awaits me has not yet been revealed! I take my place today, and I am confident that when Christ comes again, I shall be made complete and changed into His likeness — in Jesus Christ's name. Amen.

With all my love and prayers,
