Today Text: Revelation 3:7-13
Key Verse: Revelation 3:7 (NLT): “Write this letter to the angel of the church in Philadelphia. This is the message from the one who is holy and true, the one who has the key of David. What he opens, no one can close; and what he closes, no one can open.”

Why do you think “thou hast but little strength” refers to an exhausted post traumatic church? No, the more hated, oppressed and persecuted God’s people are, the stronger they become. Persecution does not drain a believer so that s/he has only a little or no strength remaining. No, but we go from strength to strength. Our God gives the strength to the weary. Rather, our strength may only be described little before any wind of trials blows upon us. We are able to stand firm in the face of darkest satanic cruelty. And, in the same way, we can resist any hindrance or obstacle. No power of the enemy can hold us down. For there is always "an open door" before us — which no man could shut.
A Christian must never perceive himself situated, shutdown or grounded. Never! The gateway of your strength is not without. It is within. You are not feeble. Christ in you is the hope of glory. In Him, nothing can prevent you from filling your place in the kingdom. So, in case you ever feel little or weak, just use this key. Or if you ever feel like wounded; remember that a bruised reed shall He not break, and the smoking flax shall He not quench." He that holds the key of David it is that gives power to the faint, and increases strength to him that has no might. The secret code in this text is that you are irresistible. You are unstoppable. It’s a coded key. Use it!
Quote for the Day: “With all our imperfections, we have a key, given to us, in Christ and through Christ alone, to open and shut according to His will.” (Simon Olatunji)
Prayer: Dear Lord, please open the door to my complete wholeness, all round success, ultimate breakthrough, and new streams of strength, and keep the doors open — in Jesus’ name. Amen.
With all my love and prayer,
Rev Simon Wale Olatunji, Ph.D.
