The Never Ending Fountain of Grace

Daily Scripture Threshing for Thursday, April 4, 2024

Today’s Text: John 1:14-18

Key Verse: John 1:16 (ESV): "For from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace."

ree

Can you imagine a never-ending fountain of sparkling water? Does that not sou d like something representing Jesus' fullness of grace to you?! I bet if you do, you can agree with me that's just as the fountain overflows with water, our Lord Jesus overflows with grace, ready to pour it out on us who love Him.

Now, picture a small cup, representing our limited capacity to receive grace. When we come to Jesus, He fills our cup to the brim with grace, and then, He keeps pouring! The cup overflows, just like the fountain, as His grace upon grace is poured into our lives daily.

As we drink from His fullness, our cups are constantly being refilled, reminding us that His grace is never-ending, always available, and overflowing with abundance. Just as the fountain never runs dry, Jesus' grace never runs out.

Do you always come to Him with your cups empty, ready to receive the boundless grace that flows from His fullness?! That's what we do when we come before Him in prayer. We.come.with confidence that Jesus is the source of grace, and from His abundant fullness, we receive grace upon grace — that is an overflowing, never-ending supply of grace!

Do you trust Jesus thus way as your fountain of grace, and do you always come to Him and drink from His fullness, receiving all the grace you need to live a life that honors Him? This morning, we all have a beautiful reminder of God's goodness and generosity! We can never use up that treasure of grace. It's from His fullness. Therefore, keep on trusting and thirsting for more.

Quote for the Day: "Grace is not a limited resource, but a limitless fountain that overflows from His fullness, filling our cups to the brim and beyond!" (Simon Olatunji #quotablequote)

Prayer: Dear Lord, I stand before you with a sense of purpose and calling, asking for grace to fulfill the assignment you have entrusted to me. Give me the strength, wisdom, and courage to complete the task at hand. Give me grace to stay focused on your will and to walk in obedience to your leading — in Jesus's most glorious name. Amen.

With all my love and prayers,

Rev Simon Wale Olatunji, Ph.D.
