Today's Text: Romans 8: 31-39
Key Verses: Romans 8: 38, 39 (ESV): "I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord."

This year's Easter celebration is over; but its message, spirit and essence remain with us. As believers in Christ, we must continue to reflect on the trials, death, burial, resurrection, and ascension to glory of Jesus Christ. We must always remember the depth of God's love for us. This is the one factor that differentiate us from others. They may be as gentle, generous, moral, civil and kind as we are, or even appearing to be more; the evidence of the love of Jesus must stand us out in everything we do. The reality of Jesus' sacrifice on the cross for us make a huge difference; and must be evident in us.
One major way we demonstrate this is through an unwavering commitment to loving Jesus so much that it shows. Is He (Jesus) preeminent in our heart? Yes?! The world must find him alao prominent in our mouth and action. There must be a genuine evidential shift from natural humanity for us. Qe must be peculiar not just in confession but in action. For by our union with Christ, and in response to His love, we are called to demonstrate an unwavering love for and to Him. Love is our natural mark amd evidence. By it men know we are Christ's disciples (John 13:3). It is also an evidence that we are born of God and know God (1 John 4:7). We are called to love one another, just as Jesus has loved us.
Easter not only reminds us of Christ's commitment to love; it reminds us His commandment to love. Jesus' commandment to us is clear: "Love one another as I have loved you" (John 15:12). This love is not limited to those closest to us but extends to everyone we meet. The generation we are in may have become so individualistic and toxic; but nothing must separate us from loving the Lord and the world (not material world, but human world) that He loves even as we "love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength" (Mark 12:30). When we love God in this way, He fills us with His love, enabling us to love others genuinely and effectively.
Action Steps: Show your love for others each and every day. Simply be a good example of a believer. Cultivate a deep and personal relationship with God through prayer, worship, and studying His Word. As God fills you with His love, share that love with others as a good ambassador of Christ.
Quote for the Day: "Jesus demonstrated an unwavering commitment to us through His sacrifice, we too must demonstrate our unwavering commitment to Him and to loving others just as He loves us." (Simon Olatunji #quotablequote)
Let Us Pray: Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for demonstrating unwavering commitment to us through Jesus Christ. Help us to prioritize our love for You and to demonstrate that love to others. Fill us with Your love, and give us opportunities to share that love with those around us — in Jesus's most glorious name. Amen.
