Today’s Text: Ephesians 4:25 - 5:2
Key Verse: Ephesians 4:32 (ESV): “Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.”

One way or the other, we have all been stuck in different forms of hate. We have been surrounded by negative people: whether it is an ambitious follower, a jealous friend, or a toxic leader — whoever it is, negative people make every day a struggle, and make it so hard for us to stay positive and motivated. They even may move us to make bad choices because we might also be drawn into a “do me I do you” relationship. That is why it's getting harder if not impossible to find harmony in many organizations, ministries, relationship and workplaces. And a relationship that is supposed to serve as an opportunity to develop our unique skills and help us survive this difficult days is even running us down the more. I think we all have a choice. Instead of joining ourselves with such a toxic culture that drains us every day and robs us of spiritual growth, and the energy to get our work done, we can choose kindness.
In today’s text, Apostle Paul charges believers to chose kindness regardless of bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor and slander. The need for kindness is so placed upon us because it is one of our surest way to express our love for God and his people. Kindness to others is how we tell God that we are not ingrates. It is telling Him that in as much as we have been so marvelously helped, favored and forgiven, we also are ready to be of kind disposition to others. Therefore, we must not get caught up in a morass that give negative attitudes, especially in retaliation of people’s ill-treatment of us. The necessity to exude and maintain kind disposition is always upon us. No doubt, people will approaches us with gossip, but we must refuse to give in. People will scuffle us; but we must refuse to be dragged down. They will hate and despise-fully use us, but we must love in return. Being kind not only makes others happy, but according to Proverbs 11:17, it also benefits us. And if you are cruel, you hurt yourself.
Quote for the Day: “Our world is in desperate need for kindness; but unfortunately we all continue to act in ways that actually denigrate it.” (Simon Olatunji)
Prayer: Dear Lord, I thank You because You exercise kindness on earth. Please make me Your ambassador of kindness. Increase my kindness and goodness, and make me an example of the believer— in Jesus’ name. Amen.
