Daily Scripture Threshing for Friday, April 24, 2020
Today’s Text: Judges 6:1-11
Key Verse: Judges 6:6 (NIV): "Midian so impoverished the Israelites that they cried out to the LORD for help.”

Man is not created to be independent or self existing. That is why whenever we find ourselves defecting or deflecting from God and abandoning his ways and will, we are simply cutting off our only sure source of strength. Non of our devices can function outside the prescriptions of their manufacturers.
In the same way; non of our own realm of existence can function in its creative purpose and capacity if and when we violate God’s default. Today’s text tells us how Israel lost its strength, became impoverished and suffered starvation when they deflected from their default. This is a spiritual service alert for us as well. And like they did , we too can cry out to the LORD for help — for reset.
Quote for the Day: "Man’s spiritual invaders always seek to short-circuit his source of spiritual food. If we let them, our strength caves in.” (Simon Olatunji)
Prayer: O Lord, You’re my only hope and strength. Help me to keep my relationship with you, in Jesus name. Amen.
With all my love and prayer,
Rev Simon Wale Olatunji, PhD
