Today’s Text: Deuteronomy 33:1-7
Key Verses: Deuteronomy 33:7 (KJV): “Hear, Lord, the voice of Judah, and bring him unto his people: Let his hands be sufficient for him; and be thou an help to him from his enemies.”

There is a spiritual correlation and inseparable relationship between prayer and praise. Among other tribes, Judah represents the praying tribe because of what he represents. We must bear in mind that his name and personality indicates praise. Therefore, there is a deliberate prophetic dimension that connects what he (Judah) represents (praise) with Mosaic blessing of sufficiency upon him. It reveals that approaching God in prayer calls for thankfulness and gratitude; and that the voice of praise is never less effective than prayer.
Yes, prayer has been the spirit of the patriarchs — Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. It is a command of our Lord. However, we command more blessings if our prayers be filled with praise, the voice of praise calls down even deeper spiritual blessings. “Hear, Lord, the voice of Judah” is literally: hear Lord the voice of praise; and the core blessing associated with this is let his hands be sufficient for him. When you are thankful you get more. Judah was not the first born of Jacob but he became the image of the father of other tribes. Today is Fathers’ Day and it’s a privilege and not a right to be counted as one. Be grateful for who God is, and thankful for all what He has done; and watch how the covenant of more comes playing out. This is the spiritual secret of sufficiency.
Quote for the Day: "In the same manner as Jehoshaphat’s battle was won by the voice of praise; and Paul and Silas’ prison doors open by the same; God always commands His blessings upon His people when they praise Him.” (Simon Olatunji)
Prayer: Lord, renew my commitment to gratitude, and teach me to praise you in every way, day and come what may, in Jesus name. Amen.
With all my love and prayer,
