Waxing Stronger in Integrity

Daily Scripture Threshing for Today, Tuesday, January 13, 2026

Texts: Proverbs 10:6-11

Key Verse: Proverbs 10:9 (ESV) — “Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but he who makes his ways crooked will be found out.”

Do you care about reputation. Not bad at all. But we care even better about integrity. Yes, something deeper than reputation. Integrity is who you are when no one watches—your unwavering commitment to truth, values, and right action from within. Reputation is what others think you are—the external shadow shaped by perceptions, words, and public actions. The Christian walk prioritizes integrity, as it builds lasting character and eventually aligns reputation. The world system chases reputation alone and risks a hollow facade.

Integrity is about alignment between your heart, your words, and your actions. In a year of waxing very strong, strength without integrity becomes a scandal waiting to happen. To wax stronger in integrity is to choose truth when lies seem convenient, honesty when shortcuts seem profitable, and purity when compromise seems popular. Integrity is doing right because God sees, even when people don’t. Today's scripture says, it walks us securely. Integrity secures anointing, relationships, and spiritual fire.

Integrity is therefore the consistency of character in the light and in the dark. God’s call for us to walk blamelessly and speak truth in our hearts is not an impossible ideal; it is the path to security and divine backing. This year, waxing stronger in integrity means allowing God’s truth to govern how you handle money, time, positions, and relationships. It begins in the hidden places—private messages, secret thoughts, unspoken motives.

As God’s Word cleanses your inner life, your outer life will gain weight and credibility. To wax stronger in integrity is to repent quickly when you catch yourself exaggerating, manipulating, or pretending. There are compromises that may not send you to prison, but they can drain your spiritual authority. This year, integrity will require you to correct false impressions, return what is not yours, and admit when you are wrong. These are not weaknesses; they are marks of a heart God can trust.

Be ready to stand alone if necessary, knowing that God defends those who walk uprightly. When the pressure comes to bend the rules or play along with corruption, remember that it is better to lose a deal than to lose your soul. When you stumble in this area, don’t cover it—confess it, make restitution where possible, and move forward with a firmer resolve. Waxing stronger in integrity means your “yes” and “no” carry spiritual authority in heaven and on earth.

Action Steps: Today, pause and ask: “Lord, is there any area in my life where I am not completely truthful or upright?” Let the Spirit highlight finances, records, relationships, or promises. Write them down, seek forgiveness, and plan one concrete act of correction or restitution.

Quote for the Day: “Integrity is your invisible armor. As you choose truth in the small things, you will wax stronger in credibility and walk under God’s protection.” — (Simon Olatunji #quotablequote)

Let Us Pray: Dear Lord Jesus, thank You for being the Truth. Deliver me from every form of deceit, hypocrisy, and hidden crookedness. Purify my heart, cleanse my motives, and align my words and actions with Your character. Let me walk securely this year in integrity, bringing no reproach to Your name. In Your mighty name, Lord Jesus, Amen.
