Today's Text: Ephesians 4:25-32
Key Verse: Ephesians 4:32 (NIV): "Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you."

How can this world be a better place? Is it any possibility that there will be no offense? How can I be a better person in relation to others? You best response to these heartthrobing questions qill depend on how you reflect and eespond to today's devotional meditation. Our generation is missing something huge and significant. It is the benevolent temper. We all go out of our doors each day as if we are going to war with others. But God truly wants us to have a better world. He wants us to rethink how we live. God wants our disposition towards others to be that of kindness, goodwill, and a willingness to do good. He wants our interaction with others something we always express in a mild, gentle, and forgiving spirit.
The Apostle Paul saw the need for Ephesian Christians to live out their faith amid a totally dark, idolatry and sensual generation. It was important that God's people would be inclined to act in a kind, loving, helpful and considerate way towards others. The apostle called for a and kind and compassionate attitude: a temper that is characterized by a desire to help, forgive, accept and support others. Just as a gentle rain nourishes the soil, a benevolent temper can bring life and growth to those around us: in the family, body of Christ and community at large. Today's text is a reminder that God wants us to be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other just as God forgave us in Christ.
Action Steps: Show kindness to those around you, even in small ways. Seek to understand and empathize with others, showing compassion in your interactions. Forgive others as God forgave you, releasing any bitterness or resentment.
Quote for the Day: "A benevolent temper is a reflection of God's kindness and compassion towards others. S Christian who excels in such grace exemplifies a life of love and forgiveness." (Simon Olatunji #quotablequote)
Let Us Pray: Dear Heavenly Father, help me to cultivate a benevolent temper, characterized by kindness, compassion, and forgiveness. Give me the strength to forgive others as You forgave me in Christ. May my life reflect Your character, bringing glory to Your name — in Jesus's most glorious name. Amen.
