God’s “Let” Diary (Part 187) — Let Everyone Depart from Iniquity

Daily Scripture Threshing for Sunday, January 17, 2021

Today’s Text: 2 Timothy 2:14-26

Key Verses: 2 Timothy 2:19 (KJV) — “Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.”

Time and time again, generations and ages of men continue to turn away from the truth, but the foundation of God as.manufest in and by His Church stands firm in grand integrity. The Church is the sure platform on which the truth of faith rests; and Christ is the Cornerstone to that unshakable foundation. As long we stand upon the truth of Jesus Christ, we also stand firm from age to age. That is how we know are demonstrate to the world that we are the Lord's.

The apostle is confident that this foundation remains unshaken or unshakable despite all efforts by opposing forces to destroy it. It survived the hates of Kingdoms; the brutality of dominion, and the inquisition of false brethren. Upon the same unwavering truth we all have been set aside as continued witnesses to God’s veritable truth. So that, first, despite and/or amidst all errors God knows those who are His.. And, second, despite and/or amidst all apostasy, all of us who name the name of the Lord should essentially and must necessarily depart from iniquity.

Prayer: Dear Lord, forgive us wherever we have offered ourselves over to sin. We renounce the ways I have presented our body to sin, in Jesus name. Amen.
