Today’s Text: Acts 2:36-47
Key Verses: Acts 2:36 (ESV): “Let all the house of Israel therefore know for certain that God has made him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom you crucified.”

Today’s Church is better positioned to enjoy a most amazing wave of revival. The reason is: she is blessed with recorded patterns and examples from both Testaments. For instance, we can go from prophet to prophet and find inexhaustible wisdom of God revealed for us to experience quickening in our spirit. We can simply dwell on the New Testament account of the day of Pentecost alone and find sufficient precursory marks of revival that accompanied the renewal of church’s earliest fathers. We have dwelled a bit on Old Testament patterns for divine revival, let me welcome you to a focus on the revival model of Acts 2.
Our last meditation was on Peter’s focus on Jesus. Today is a revisit with a difference. Verse 36 illustrates the apostle’s continued emphasis on Jesus alone, and Him crucified. Perhaps, this is the church’s most important necessary posture in order to experience fresh wave of God’s grace and witness such vival of spiritual enthusiasm to seek and serve God among the people. The first message of the Church was preached to the crowd at Pentecost and it was about Jesus Christ, crucified, dead, buried, and raised from the dead as Lord and Messiah. Today, we desire same or similar wave of revival, but Jesus is no longer our top priority, nor is He our continuing emphasis.
Quote for the Day: “Revival is like a fetus of which prayer is the womb; repentance is its fluid; godliness is the midwife; and the hunger and thirst of God's people is the birth canal through which revival is born.” (Simon Olatunji)
Prayer: Lord Jesus, We pray for revival in the land and we cry out to You today Lord. I pray that You will revive us again and breathe into us life and purpose that we may all live a fulfilled life. We acknowledge that we have fell short of Your glory, so we ask that You will cleanse us and create a right spirit in us—in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
With all my love and prayers,
