Today's Text: Revelation 12:7-17
Key Verse: Revelation 12:11 (ESV): "And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death."

Archaeologists digging in the remains of a school for imperial pages in Rome found a picture dating from the third century. It shows a boy standing, his hand raised, worshiping a figure on a cross, a figure that looks like a man with the head of an ass. Scrawled in the writing of a young person are the words, "Alexamenos faitjfully worships his God." Apparently, as a young Christian, he was being mocked by his schoolmates for his faithful witness. But he was not ashamed; he was faithful. As we journey through the Christian life, we face numerous challenges and obstacles. Satan, our archenemy, constantly schemes against us, seeking to derail our faith and testimony. However, today's passage reminds us that we can overcome Satan's schemes through the power of the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony. The essence of the blood of the Lamb in this passage is the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, which provides us with forgiveness, redemption, and victory over sin, Satan and all his cohorts. When we apply the blood of Christ to our lives, we experience the power of God that enables us to overcome Satan's schemes and all the tribulations he unleashes against us.
Our victory resides much in the word of our testimony. This does not refer to a church item of standing to declare a favor or healing or blessing we have received; but it refers to our declaration of unrepentant faith in Jesus Christ in the face of adversity. A moment in which we boldly share our testimony with others, demonstrating our commitment to Christ and our trust in His power. This bold declaration of faith is spplauded as our powerful tool in overcoming Satan's schemes. Furthermore, the passage before us reveals the courage not to love our lives even in the face of death. This means that we must be willing to sacrifice our comfort, convenience, and even our lives for the sake of Christ. When we are willing to surrender our lives to Christ, in this way, then the power of God to overcome Satan's schemes is released upon us.
Action Steps: Reflect on areas where Satan is scheming against you, and apply the power of the blood of the Lamb and the word of your testimony. Pray for boldness and courage to share your testimony with others. Ask God to help you surrender your life to Christ, willing to sacrifice your comfort and convenience for the sake of the Gospel. Join us and other believers on Saturday, February 15, 2025 by 2pm CST at RCCG, House on the Rock, 4437 Matthew Rd, Grand Prairie, TX 75052 to celebrate 21 postmodern Martyrs.
Quote for the Day: "Today's church or Christian life has literally been mistaken for a playground or a fun factory, but no, It is rather a battleground, upon which we must be prepared to fight the good fight of faith." (Simon Olatunji #quotablequote)
Let Us Pray: Dear Heavenly Father, I come before You today, seeking Your power and protection against Satan's schemes. Grant me the boldness and courage to share my testimony with others, and help me surrender my life to Christ. May I experience the power of the blood of the Lamb and the word of my testimony, overcoming Satan's schemes and living a victorious Christian life — in Jesus' mighty name. Amen.
