Today’s Text: Isaiah 55:1-13
Key Verse: Isaiah 55:6 (ESV): “Seek the LORD while he may be found; call on him while he is near.”

Whereas God is not affected by time and season; we all are. And we have time for everything. We are limited by what we can do, where we can go and the time we can do them. There is no doubt about our need to seek the Lord, friends. We need God. We need Him desperately. And, indeed, there is no doubt that God may be found by anyone who seeks Him. But because we are limited by the passage or allowance of time, we must avail ourselves of the limited opportunity we are given.
There is a time we have the strength to run up and down; and another time comes when other aid us to move. We must let this wisdom avail us to seek the Lord when the grace to do so abides. Unfortunately, we like to seek wrong things; or untimely things. The Lord knows that we need happiness; housing, peace, clothings, joy and safety; but this scripture does not move us to seek any of those things. What we are to seek is the One who gives those blessings.
We cannot have the Spirit and not have the fruit of the Spirit. We cannot find the blessings without the giver Himself. Man’s need is to seek the Lord Himself. That is the standard of scripture. We must seek Him and His kingdom first before every other blessing may be added unto us. We cannot have the hope of glory until we have Christ formed in us. Righteousness, peace, joy, and rest are only evidence of a life that has found God.
Quote for the Day: “Perhaps, humanity’s profoundest divine promise is God’s promise to be found by anyone who seeks Him." (Simon Olatunji)
Prayer: Dear Lord, I submit myself to you, I know that you will direct my paths and I can have confidence that your direction is always the best for me. Hear my cry O Lord, and reveal yourself and your ways to me, in Jesus' name. Amen.
With all my love and prayers,
